1. Who we are

DreamProp ("we", "us", "our") provides a weekly curated European property digest and related website services. We operate from Ireland.

For GDPR purposes, DreamProp is the data controller of personal data collected through this website and our emails. Contact: info@dreamprop.eu.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, who we share it with, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR"), the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, and the Irish ePrivacy Regulations.

2. What we collect

• Account details — name, email address, and a hashed password when you register.
• Search preferences — countries, price range, property type, and similar filters you save so we can match listings to you.
• Contact and feedback messages — name, email, subject, and message content when you use our contact form or feedback widget.
• Technical data — limited server logs (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and reliability.
• Privacy-friendly analytics — we use Pirsch Analytics, which is designed to be cookieless and GDPR-friendly. It may process approximate location and page-view data to help us understand how the site is used. It does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
• Advertising / Meta Pixel data — only if you accept advertising cookies: page views, device/browser information, IP address, referral URL, and conversion events (such as signup / Lead) may be sent to Meta so we can measure and improve Facebook and Instagram ads.

We do not collect payment card details while paid plans are disabled. If payments are enabled later, card data will be handled by a payment provider (e.g. Stripe) and this policy will be updated.

3. Why we use your data (legal bases)

• To provide the service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) — contract): create your account, save filters, send weekly digests, password resets, and essential account emails.
• To respond to you (Art. 6(1)(b) or 6(1)(f)): handle contact/feedback messages.
• To keep the service secure and improve it (Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interests): prevent abuse, maintain the site, and review aggregate analytics.
• Onboarding emails (Art. 6(1)(b) / 6(1)(f)): welcome and short follow-up emails related to using DreamProp. You can stop digest emails anytime from your dashboard or email links.
• Advertising measurement (Art. 6(1)(a) — consent): if you accept advertising cookies, we use the Meta Pixel to measure ad performance and (where enabled) help show relevant DreamProp ads on Facebook and Instagram. You can withdraw consent at any time via cookie settings.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies as described below. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under Irish ePrivacy rules. Advertising technologies load only after you opt in.

Strictly necessary

• Session cookie — keeps you logged in while you browse.
• CSRF cookie — helps protect forms against forged requests.
• Remember-me cookie — optional, if you choose “Remember me” when signing in.
• Cookie preference — stores whether you accepted or rejected advertising cookies (saved in your browser’s local storage).

Advertising (consent required)

• Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited / Meta Platforms, Inc.) — measures visits and conversion events from our Facebook and Instagram ads, and may set cookies or use similar identifiers for advertising measurement and retargeting. The Pixel script is not loaded until you click “Accept ads cookies”.

You can change your choice anytime: open cookie settings. Withdrawing consent stops future Pixel loading from DreamProp; it does not delete cookies already set by Meta in your browser — you can clear those via your browser settings.

5. Who we share data with

We use trusted service providers as processors (GDPR Art. 28) only as needed to run DreamProp, for example:

• Email delivery (e.g. Mailgun) — to send digests and transactional email.
• Pirsch Analytics — privacy-friendly website analytics.
• Hosting / infrastructure providers — to host the application and store data.
• Bunny.net — to deliver fonts (your browser may send an IP address to their CDN).

If you accept advertising cookies, we also share Pixel event data with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (and related Meta entities). For some Business Tools processing, Meta may act as an independent controller or joint controller for its own advertising purposes. See Meta’s Privacy Policy and Business Tools Terms.

If a provider is outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses (GDPR Art. 46) and, where applicable, Meta’s transfer mechanisms.

6. How long we keep data

• Account and filter data — while your account is active; deleted within 30 days after you delete your account.
• Contact messages — kept only as long as needed to reply and follow up (typically up to 12 months).
• Server logs — usually deleted within 90 days.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask us to:

• access your personal data
• correct inaccurate data
• erase your data (including by deleting your account)
• restrict or object to certain processing
• receive a portable copy of data you provided (where applicable)

8. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, CSRF protection, and access controls appropriate to a small web service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

If a personal data breach is likely to risk your rights and freedoms, we will notify Ireland’s Data Protection Commission (and you, where required) in line with GDPR Articles 33 and 34.

9. Children

DreamProp is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect children’s data. Contact us if you think we have, and we will delete it.
